I like my name but it always gets pronounced wrong by everyone. Like its spelled c-a-t-r-i-o-n-a which is the anglicised way of writing Catrìona. But people always say cah-tree-OH-na and when I correct them and say its pronounced closer to the name Katrina they're like then why is it spelled as cah-tree-OH-na??? I mean, I'm not very good at languages but imagine turning up at Italian classes and being like why is it spelled ciao when it sounds nothing like that???? It's why I prefer to just shorten it to cat cause I can't be bothered.
