difficult books

incandenza_ [Edit] [Delete] 02:18, 10 October '14

there was a thing on the Guardian website, I won't bother to link to it, but it was about novels some guy couldn't finish.

he said Infinite Jest was "like swimming through
setting cement", which fuck off, mate. and numerous replies to the link on Fb mentioned Catch-22, which reads really easily.

okay, here:

http://www.theguardian.com/books/shortcuts/2014/oct/08/my-top-10-unfinishable-novels

obviously Nick Hornby just wants people to sink to the kind of level where they just read Nick Hornby books.

what of those books in the guy's list? what else? go on, then.
