Chucking out old electronics/IT

tobythecat [Edit] [Delete] 15:43, 11 August '14

What is the best way of going about this then eh? I've been stockpiling old stuff that I didn't want to just throw out, not really knowing what to do with it instead. Now I'm moving house and it doesn't really seem worth it to take this crap with me, but I can't figure out what you're supposed to do with stuff like this!

I've got an old desktop PC (kinda broken), a laptop (kinda broken), and an old stereo and speakers (on its last legs). Don't think anyone would really pay anything for any of them, so selling them is out of the question, but on the other hand I feel like they must have some worth (RAM, hard drives, cabling etc), so I resent the idea of paying someone to come and take them for recycling.

Naturally as a paid-up LME member I don't have a car, so can't take them to the tip/recycling place.

Help!? :P
