the government is looking at selling student debt to universities

this seems to suggest we could have prime and sub-prime levels of student debt. also if you read the bbc article there's some really excellent commentary from the bbc "for example, the easiest way to cut loan defaults would be to admit fewer women and students from poorer families, since both groups tend to have lower lifetime earnings." yeah just let in fewer women and ethnic minorities cause that would help the market.
