2-in-1 Couchsurfing/Housemate thread.

Icarus-Smicarus [Edit] [Delete] 19:49, 3 July '14

Has anyone here ever put their house on couchsurfing.org so couchsurfers can come and stay?

My housemates informed me last night that they made the decision (while I was at work, without asking me, which feels a little bit Not On) to put our house on there as we have a spare room. I think the idea is that it's supposed to be a cool way to meet people of other cultures and stuff but it feels more like a massive inconvenience. I don't like the idea of coming home from work and having some random stranger sitting on my sofa that I have to talk to. Especially if it's some horrible Ed Sheeran type. Imagine.

Apparently we have a Swedish couple coming to stay next week although my housemates also didn't think to work out whether any of us will actually be home that day, which goes to show why this is a terrible idea.

Am I being a massive uptight Mark Corrigan baby or am I right to feel a bit put out?
