How many non-human animals were alive on D-Day and are alive now?

-dan- [Edit] [Delete] 00:33, 6 June '14

A load of whales, I reckon, and a bunch of tortoises. What else? Those dinosaur lizard things, they live ages. Oh yeah, and DiS-favourites the immortal jellyfish. In fact, all that shit that lives at the bottom of the sea - what was that one recently that some researcher cracked open and realised a) it was like 400-years-old and b) it had been alive until being cracked open? Must be plenty more of them knocking about.

Gonna say it's in six figures. Reckon any of them noticed/remember the war?
