Almost always as the weekend approaches I'll eat something and it'll feel like my oesophagus has tightened slightly as though I need to swallow harder - this is the precursor to a day or two of burning stomach and hot vapour feeling in my throat that makes me feel shit, 'heartburn' I suppose but the pain isn't in my chest and things like Gaviscon, rennies and zantac have zero effect. By Sunday it's usually returned to normal. It's like an allergic reaction to the weekend. I don't fucking get it. If I go to the doctor I'll get prescribed lansoprazole but it usually transcends that and it doesn't feel like the answer considering I usually have zero of the symptoms during the week.
