In the main event the youngest champion in UFC history, Jon 'Bones' Jones meets Glover Texeira who is currently riding a 20 fight winning streak including wins over former Light Heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson and Ultimate Fighter winner Ryan Bader. In the co-main event fast rising Penn State wrestling champion Phil Davis looks for his 9th UFC victory over the returning UFC veteran Anthony 'Rumble' Johnson.

Also on the card former Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold faces Tim 'The Barbarian' Boetsch.
