angry letter writing advice ((train companies are dicks) and trains should be renationalised)

aggressively_passive [Edit] [Delete] 12:11, 30 March '14

so, on friday night i lost my oyster card, railcard and tickets for my train back from london to sheffield on saturday. annoying, sure, but totally my fault so whatever. get myself down to king's cross at 5 with my train at 5:10. ask specifically for the 5:10 train and get directed to the platform after buying the ticket (£65 ffs). get on the train, ticket inspector comes, apparently the ticket i've been given doesn't allow me on that train. so basically the incompetence of the person who sold me my ticket has left me with an £82 fine. have no intention of paying it obviously but need to send a handwritten letter to lodge a complaint (again this is them trying to make the process as user-unfriendly as possible). tempted to do something like this http://i.huffpost.com/gen/1116819/thumbs/o-GREATER-ANGLIA-TRAIN-COMPLAINT-570.jpg?6
