ITT: Teachers - Appreciation and Stories

LordLuciusBanter [Edit] [Delete] 11:10, 26 March '14

A fair chunk of our nation's educators are on strike today.

In solidarity and appreciation and support let's have a thread about teachers who've made a positive impact on you, or failing that (or default in my case) hilarious stories.

We had a teacher at school whose name I now shamefully can't remember. He looked like Father Christmas. I didn't know what he actually taught, he just seemed to cad around the school telling us amusing stories of his time doing national service.

He used to come out at the end of break to stop us playing football and would just stand there and shout "UUUUNNNURGGGHHHH" and then we'd all start shouting "UUUUUUNNUURGGGHHHH" over and over and carry on playing until he'd shout "You! BOY!" and point at one of us and glare and then we'd all stop.

He died when I was in sixth form and the whole school was totally choked up. I feel totally shit I can't remember his name
