I always try my best...

Right, I'm the first to admit that I probably roll into work a little bit later (it's flexi time but I always make it just before the cut off) Anyhoo, we had a big staff meeting today and if you are late, you have to suffer the indignity of walking in and everyone giving you disapproving looks. I decided to get in early today and not experience that.....(again)

So, I aim to get the 9.32 train, get me in by 9.45, meeting at 10. But what happens? I'm walking through town when I pass a TV shop thats playing in the window....a GREEN DAY music video and on another one STAR WARS. Well obviously I had to stop and have a gander for a bit. Shook myself out of that trance after about 5 minutes and quickened my pace to still make it.

Got to the station, paid for my tickets, time was about 9.29, fucking sweet! Then, I get on the platform to see its been delayed by 11 minutes! I got the feeling of tiredness and "the whole world against me" My colleagues wouldn't know I deliberately made the effort to arrive early at work and that irked me big time!

P.S. I made it with 2 minutes to spare. About 5 minutes into the meeting, one of the temps walked in and looked a bit shocked. I obviously gave them a 'look' - oh human nature!
