Groups of people whose presence in British society is massively exaggerated

sideshowraheem [Edit] [Delete] 13:02, 27 September '13

Every time I hear Bruce Forsyth described as a 'national treasure' I'm always reminded of the fact that I've never, ever heard an actual member of the public express a liking for him. Now, clearly, there must be loads of people out there that love him, I'm just saying I've never met one. I'm sure the demographics of who you hang around with affects this, but still...

Other examples:
I've only met a handful of people who love Princess Diana and consider her a saintlike figure, yet I've heard dozens if not hundreds of people making jokes mocking the former group.

England supporters who arrogantly assume that we'll win every tournament going, not met that many really.

Does anyone else recognise this phenomenon? No? Okay then.
