You know when you're browsing a thread

Antelope [Edit] [Delete] 02:27, 6 September '13

and you ^this something, and the page refreshes, and so you scroll down to where you were before and keep reading down. But then you get pulled back up again because the ^this highlight thing has finally kicked in and so you start fighting it, scrolling down furiously so you don't lose your place, pressing the down key. The page fights back. And just when you think you've won

It beats you. It has pulled you back up to the post you ^this'ed, and you feel a pang of regret. Was this post really worth ^this'ing? Was it worth losing my place?

Even though you've never won, you fight it every time. And every time, it wins. It wins every time.

Slow day.
