tesco destroyed by massive fine
Tesco found guilty of lying when selling strawberries and fined £300,000(see note 1). this will definitely be an enormous blow, given that during the summer of 2011 they made a pitiful profit of only £2.3m... just from selling strawberries (again, see note 1).
if my sums are correct, that's an absolutely huge chunk of their business, given that in the year up to 25th feb 2012 they made £3.8bn profit before tax (note 2).
