Annoying tiny things going wrong when you really least needed them to

LOLpop [Edit] [Delete] 11:28, 16 August '13

A while back I was thinking about getting some work done on my house, and had started to tell my friend who is an electrician about the possible works, to get a rough idea how much they’d cost. After a while I realised that I possibly couldn’t afford to get the works done, so started to cool off a bit about the subject, and when asked I said that I wasn’t so sure that I could afford to get it done any more so might need a bit more time to save up the cash. My mate was a bit disappointed by this. I don’t think that I led him on, but maybe didn’t realise that he was banking on it that much (for info, he had a permanent job, but this was a private job that he was going to do).

After a week or so he texted and asked if I’d thought any more about the works, so I replied and said that I definitely couldn’t afford to at that point, so would leave it for a while. About an hour later I took my phone out to see if he’d replied, and I saw that I’d accidentally pocket texted him again, but annoyingly I’d pressed the auto-smiley button and sent about 40 smileys straight after the text that I’d sent breaking it to him that I couldn’t afford the works. What made it doubly infuriating, was that I absolutely hate the auto-smiley function.
