The right to a seat on a train?

kevbizarre [Edit] [Delete] 18:03, 25 July '13

What do people think about this?
Everyday I commute on the train and commuters who obviously pay a fair wack for season tickets have to stand to and from work. I pay £300/month!
I'm lucky in that I get on early and leave work early enough to get on the train as it arrives.
There isn't enough seats to equal demand so would you be happy to pay a lower price if you stood rather than sat? Or should people who have to stand be compensated? Seems unfair they pay the same price as a seated traveller but get a worse service by having to stand.....

Incidentally the train I'm on at the moment is over capacity by a whole carriage worth at least!
