Do your parents/ in-laws have the keys to your house and let themselves in as and when they please?

Elaina_Casoolare [Edit] [Delete] 16:35, 18 July '13

Both our parents have the keys to our house for emergencies or whatevs.

Mine would never just let themselves in unless I asked, my boyfriend's mum let herself in yesterday and cut our grass and weeded the whole garden and cleaned the kitchen.

Now my boyfriend's brother's wife wouldn't have it but I don't think I mind really, I was really happy she did all that stuff.

What pissed me off is when she came over a bit later and looked at the eggs with a really disgusted face (I don't keep my eggs in the fridge) and said, 'how long have those eggs been there? not sure that's ok in this heat'. I'd only bought them the day before cheeky cow.

I suppose many people don't really live close enough to their parents for this to be a thing, we both grew up and now live in London, my parents live 20mins away, his mum lives.... ON THE NEXT ROAD TO US! Is that a bit sad?

Do you think I should mind her letting herself in? Shall I kick-off?
