I've been reading Alex James' biography, and it struck me that the members of Blur are actually like 10 years + older than me, even though I always think of myself as being a Britpop kid and stuff. Led me to think about the musicians my parents are into and how they're actually from a completely different generation from them. Makes you think... about something.

Anyway, my Mum was born in the same year as:

David Byrne
Joe Strummer
Mr T.

Don't associate her "generation" with any of those people or the era they represent at all.
