has anyone been watching Rick Stein's series on Indian cooking?

fucking brilliant. what a country, really want to go. some of the authentic dishes look amazing, and far, far removed from curries over here.

he's such a fucking great lad/completely inoffensive nice guy, isn't he? something proper compelling about him as a storyteller.

this week's episode was probably the best cookery show i've seen - http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/search?q=rick%20stein%20india - there's a particular scene in a sort of Indian pub where they're drinking alcoholic plant juice of some sort that i just properly loved.

top man. all his series' are fucking great. he's a national treasure like Attenborough or David Jason, imho.
