what is the absolute minimum time a dentist should be looking in your mouth for?

inside-outside [Edit] [Delete] 09:19, 1 July '13

This one is within 2 years of leaving uni so no seen it all expert, last time i had a bit of gum disease so she shouldve had a good look for that too but she was poking around in there for no more than 90 seconds, no exaggeration.
Am i being overly suspicious or is that an adequate amount of time to assess someones dental health and 18pounds well spent?
.
(i did miss my last appointment so i think theyre pissed off at me and trying to make my gums fall out)
