Tao Lin, Marie Calloway, this sort of stuff - is anyone into it? I've read some of Marie Calloway's stuff this weekend, and am not sure what to think. I like the idea of this 'new sincerity', work that interacts with the digital age and all that stuff, but part of me thinks it's just a trendy rebranding of things (blurring fiction vs non-fiction, aping the formats of modern communication, lots of sex, excising all metaphors) that've been around for a long time. Point me in the direction of some stuff that might sway me (I'm going to get a copy of Taipei when I can).
