Should I move to Bearsden, or is it going to make me want to punch myself in the cunt every day?

Where is good to live? (preferably easily commutable to Blythswood Sq area, whose nearest stations are charing X and Central.) I know nothing of the bus system in glasgow and I don't think I've ever been on a Glasgow bus, so any help on this matter would be hugely appreciated.
