Doc Martens

hip_young_gunslinger [Edit] [Delete] 14:09, 31 May '13

I'm sick of buying shoes that fall apart after six months, and want something that's going to last. Even buying £70 shoes from somewhere like Clarks (in the sale, obvs) doesn't help, they all fall apart sooner or later, or the sole wears through and water starts coming in. I'm thinking about splurging on some proper hard-wearing boots like DMs, but do they actually last? What should I expect to pay? And, most importantly and subjectively of all, if I got a black pair, are they 'smart' enough that I could wear them to work - I don't wear a suit to work, but I don't wear jeans either - it's a shirt and trousers kind of place, though I could probably get away with slightly more casual than I currently go for.

So, talk to me about DMs, or suggest some alternatives, or whatever. BOOTS.
