are you allowed to say you don't like Ipads on here without people getting defensive, passive-aggresive, dismissive or otherwise upset?

i'm *reasonably* tech-savvy, i'd say. there are some things i don't see the point of, like really expensive smartphones, Twitter, and Blu-Ray players, etc, but i know how they work and with gadgets and online tools, etc, normally work them out relatively quickly.

iPad's are just shit, though, honestly, and not because they're popular, they're no more popular than laptops, let's be honest, they're just pretty irritating to use. video streaming's clearer via the apps, yeah, but for general use you're much better just getting a netbook.

what's the crack with the adverts? everywhere, ffs, even with an ad-blocker lots of them get through, and navigating around basic websites is so much more of a ballache on one of them than a proper computer, and not just because it's new.

this isn't even weighing up the wanker factor. i saw a person taking photos with one in the middle of the street recently, just casually, as ya do, and a guy, at a football match, watching another live football match online. wtfigo?

netbooks = the best option all round.

glad we all agree.

(re-reads post, weighs up which part the very neediest DiSers will rip into, fucks it off, tucks into great sandwich).
