Favourite Viz newspaper stories

LOLpop [Edit] [Delete] 17:55, 29 April '13

Although they’ve been largely rubbish for years now – with occasional exceptions – I read a pretty good one recently, in Victoria station WHSmiths.

It was about how space in the future will be a really scarce commodity. It said that simple things like going for a walk in the park will be extremely hard, and that if you want to go for a walk in the park in the future, you’d have to book yourself onto a list, and then everyone would have to walk around like Madness do on their videos.

Due to my poor grammar , punctuation and all round half arsed attempt to write a decent thread on this topic, I’ve probably bludgeoned any last drop of humour out of this, but trust me, when I read it I was really laughing a lot.

One from the old days that I absolutely loved when I read it was ‘SPEND SPEND SPEND’. It was a story about a guy that had won £300 in the local pools, and how his life had gone badly wrong because of winning the money – so wrong that he wished he’d never see the money.

Not a newspaper story, but the Viz rough guide to Ibiza was pretty hilarious.

Which ones did you like?
