Promoting music

aactv [Edit] [Delete] 20:52, 25 April '13

How is the best way to go about it if you've no cash? Ideally I'd like the music I make to be heard by a few more people, but as its mostly electronic and I cant afford equipment, playing live is pretty much out of the question. So far my only real port of call is spamming message boards and Facebook, which just gets annoying for everyone really, not to mention that nobody really bothers listening to it. So, have any more experienced music makers got any tips that might be helpful? It probably doesn't help that I don't really make brostep or whatever, which is pretty much all anyone ever really self promotes as far as I've seen these days.
