Monday Marred by Violent Scenes Football Thread

Steved [Edit] [Delete] 09:55, 15 April '13

Main story of the weekend is the return of punchy fans to football, as Milwall fans react badly to their team getting tanked by a better team by fighting each other and Newcastle fans react badly to losing their derby by fighting police horses. Never would have happened in Thatcher's day. In the other, less fighty FA Cup Semi (heh) City beat Chelsea. Didn't see the match but apparently it was a fair result and Aguero could have been sent off.

Elsewhere United continue their procession to the title by sleepwalking past a woeful Stoke team, Southampton, West Ham and Villa continue to contrive to not quite be safe, Arsenal and a referee get a result against a Norwich side who have stopped flirting with relegation and are starting to remove their clothes, Liverpool draw with Alex McCarthy and Everton beat a QPR side already handing out their CVs and in some cases looking for new agents.

Lots of exciting stuff happened in the Championship and Europe too I expect but I should really do some work now.
