Strange street-walking phenomenon

drop_b [Edit] [Delete] 15:36, 12 April '13

That awkward moment when you're walking down the street and someone is walking directly toward you... you move one way, they move the same way, you move the other way, they move the other way, and you proceeed to do some strange street-dance with them until one of you is able to choose the correct way to avoid a full on collision. It's usually followed by a typically British laugh and a 'Sorry!' from one or both parties.

How often does this happen to you? I'd say for me it's at least 5 times a week, maybe more. I work in Central London though so it's inevitable when I'm on Oxford St most days. I always come away from these situations feeling like it was my fault.

I've tried various ways of stopping this strange phenomenon from happening, avoiding eye contact helps a bit I find.

THATCHER!
