bar the two world wars, what were the most important things that happened in the world in the 20th century (aka 1900-1999)?
meaning, like, definitive moments in history people should know about and which might be interesting to read about.
obviously the invention of the world wide web wouldn't be one of them.
i'd probably say the Cold War, Prohibition, JFK getting popped, African-American Civil Rights, America nuking Japan, Genocide in Africa.
