A question for Disers that don't live in London:

LOLpop [Edit] [Delete] 09:09, 10 April '13

Where you live, or in nearby neighbourhoods, towns, etc......basically anywhere that you've been in the UK that isn't London -- Is there a current trend of 'builders' buying victorian terrace houses, in order to renovate them - under the guise of being 'Architects'?

It seems that more and more often, around north London I am seeing Terraced houses with an old bath tub, or water storage unit in the front garden, accompanied by a ton of rubble and plastering waste - and out the front there will be a sign declaring the name of the Architects that are renovating the building.

Below isn't a great example, but it's one that I remembered from a while back that would possibly be on g maps.

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=n52dh&hl=en&ll=51.546397,-0.094576&spn=0.000687,0.001961&sll=52.8382,-2.327815&sspn=10.947951,32.124023&t=h&hnear=London+N5+2DH,+United+Kingdom&z=20&layer=c&cbll=51.546454,-0.094446&panoid=m1sTgZ6KgA5IV4QyETAJww&cbp=12,298.75,,1,5.25

I suppose my point is - since when did builders become architects?
