The thing I find upsetting about this is not that they don't know who Margaret Thatcher is - it's slightly worrying they don't have a better knowledge of recent UK history, but fair enough, I have plenty of blindspots myself - but that they are so quick to SAY they don't know, almost as if they're proud of it. Surely if they care enough to tweet about it, it would take the same amount of effort to type it into Google? It's a kind of fetishisation of ignorance - I know the least and I don't care!
