Non-Thursday computer game-related thread

commandercool [Edit] [Delete] 10:47, 26 March '13

I was messing around on Farcry 3 last night and facing up to the strong possibility that, yet again, there's a of finer details of the plot that are passing me by.

Which led me to ask myself - how often do I actually invest full concentration on the plot of a game? I usually get the main gist of things, but never really find myself immersed fully and buying into the world that's been created. I even got confused in bits in Gears of War, which isn't exactly War and Peace...

Do you find yourself skipping bits of plot in computer games to get to the action, or do you study each cutscene and read every bit of collectible material to get a full understanding of the world? If you don't, where does the fault lie? Yours or the game designers?
