The coffee station is broken for the day. A coworker who I'm friendly with (but wouldn't call him a friend) makes his own coffee from a stash he brings in with several other people sharing the cost of the coffee.

I asked this coworker if I can get some of his coffee since the machine in my department is broken. He said no because he and a few others pay for the coffee and that I should seek out one of the other coffee stations(on another floor), which the company pays for.

While i can go do this i still think its massively stingy not to just give me some of his coffee, its only one cup. Anyone else think this is a bit stingy?
