Music Social More…

would it be a good thing if NME died?

fitzcarraldo [Edit] [Delete] 12:45, 15 February '13

inspired by this - http://www.thelineofbestfit.com/news/latest-news/uk-music-magazines-see-drop-in-readership-118493 and the apparent ongoing trend of print in general dying away, would people actually see it as a positive thing if the NME were no more?

i get that it's cool to totally deride it (and this thread is in no way a defence of it's current or even recent state) but along with melody maker it was a gateway into reading music journalism for me and i'd guess a lot of other folk over the last 20 years or so.

is it just now so irrelevant that it doesn't matter either way?
