The film, not the good for nothing town.

Saw this last night and thought it was brilliant.

-The script was satisfyingly dense and felt more like watching a play than a film. Slightly Sorkin-esque at times but without the superior smugness.

-DDL was phenomenal and utterly owned every scene he was in.

-The supporting cast kept throwing up nice surprises. Fat James Spader! Gale from Breaking Bad! John Hawkes! Rorsharch from Watchmen! Lane Price!

-Don't usually notice production design in a film but I loved how all the interiors were authentically dark and dank, like if you touched the screen it would feel damp.

-It was incredibly mature and didn't feel dumbed down whatsoever. Felt like a good history lesson.

-Yeah it was really good.

Anyone else seen it?
