When yous write your melodies, do you have any rules? or do you think there are any rules you have to stick to? feel free to make these as obvious a you like.

I was thinking today, sometimes my melodies do not seem to be that great and I was wondering if I was missing something you see. I am talking about vocal/solo melodies.
