For the FAO of Easter lovers

CharlieMortdecai [Edit] [Delete] 05:15, 14 January '13

When is too early for hot cross buns? Outraged scenes here in Aus as the first hot cross buns went on sale before the new year. (I noticed them when I was doing a bit of last minute NYE shopping, but reports are that they have been available since boxing day)

They've been creeping earlier every year for a while now, but at boxing day I think they've reached their limit. AFAIC nary a hot cross bun shall cross my lips until after Ash Wednesday, and probably a good deal later than that.

Also, if you take the fruit out, or put chocolate in, it is no longer a fucking hot cross bun. If you don't like dried fruit, you don't like hot cross buns.

PS Saw my first Easter Eggs on the weekend before last.
