rent (not the musical)

hedgehog [Edit] [Delete] 16:50, 2 January '13

do you think what you pay for where you live is fair?

I feel like I'm getting a bit ripped off for my current flat but I'm searching for other places (in Edinburgh) and it seems that paying £500-£700 is standard for a crappy little flat here.
It seems to be nearly impossible to find a flat that has a kitchen that isn't a square foot in the corner of the living room. What happened to kitchens!?

Looking at places in Stirling and Dunfermline, and you can get 3-4 bedroom places with private gardens etc for the price I'm paying here. Even Inverness and Glasgow are cheaper.
Kind of wishing I had the courage to uproot and move somewhere cheaper.

Anyway, do you think what you pay for where you live is fair?
Do you share with friends/strangers/a partner?
What city do you live in?

Go!
