on the radio i heard a thing about using voice analysis to solve crime and one part of it was about how this guy has been recording electricity patterns in the UK for 3 years because whenever a phonecall is made you can pick them up. they are basically imperceptible to your human ear but you can turn them up and hear them and because they change so often and in so many ways they can act like a date stamp and place stamp on a phone conversation or voice message and then they can solve crime. is that true? they said it on the radio but it feels like bollocks. like they just thought of it as an idea and are slowly putting it out into the public world so they can pretend to use it (which is fine). it's like once i saw a tv program where they showed how if you put clingfilm over your registration plate then speed cameras can't pick up your registration plate BUT they can then inverse the colours in the image to make it show up. it REALLY felt like bollocks. like they had a normal image and made one inversed one where the reg plate was clear and one normal one where the reg plate couldn't be read and just used them. just as a way of talking bollocks so that they can try to stop people from using clingfilm.
