I thought that it would be a good idea to post a helpful thread where people can offer advice on how to solve annoying minor issues.

Sort of Viz top tips, without the sarcasm and with REAL solutions to REAL minor problems.

: If I've ever got one of my own hairs on my tongue, the way that I find most effective to get it off my tongue, is to lick my t-shirt, or jumper. As long as it's cotton, the hair will come straight off.

Obviously if its wool this won't work.
