Question about repairs in a rented property

Tillance [Edit] [Delete] 19:10, 20 November '12

We had to get an emergency plumber out yesterday to fix the boiler and leaky radiators. It was a problem our landlandy had said she's had before. The plumber fixed it all no problem.

Then today I got two texts from her, one telling me to check my email, and another 1 minute later asking me to confirm my email address. I was busy at work so I hadn't had the chance to check, but she sent the texts about 10 minutes after the email. In it she denied all knowledge of there having been a previous problem with the radiators and accused us of causing the leaks by knocking them "when cleaning/hoovering/moving around in the room", and now she's asking us to pay for the plumber. 5 hours later, as I was walking home from work she called me to ask how we were going to pay the bill.

In our tenancy agreement it says she's responsible for paying for repairs unless we caused the damage through misuse or negligence. I really don't think we're responsible for the damage.

Should we really have to pay for the plumber?

Sorry if TLDR.
