Having taxidermy in the home

hip_young_gunslinger [Edit] [Delete] 12:38, 12 November '12

There's a vintage market in the square opposite my flat on Fridays which I walk through on the way to work. I've never had time to look round it properly, but one of the things that stands out is a stall which sells a range of mounted deer heads and a few skull/antler combos. I'm quite taken by them, and may stop in this week to see how much these proud beasts would set one back. Looking online, it seems good ones cost several hundred quid, which is more than I'm ever willing to spend, but, if cost were no object (say an elderly aunt was offering you a fine specimen for free), would you take it? Would it creep you out? Would you object for moral reasons? Aesthetic ones?

Here's hoping I have Hamilton the deer gracing my wall by the weekend.
