My flatmate's listening to a 90s radio station. It's suddenly struck me this is EXACTLY like when my Mum listened to 70s radio stations when I was growing up and I wondered why she was stuck on nostalgia and had given up in modern music.

In my head I still kind of see 'new' music as anything from 2002 onwards - I still kind of think Franz Ferdinand as a new band. They aren't really, are they?
