Has DiS considered the potential libel position when removing banned user posts?

LdnMetropolitanElite [Edit] [Delete] 10:26, 5 November '12

I am not a lawyer, but this got me thinking: http://drownedinsound.com/community/boards/music/4415993?community-latest#r7129418

1. Any new user agrees to no terms and conditions when creating an account here.
2. By removing all of a banned user's posts it alters the previous discussion posted on the boards with no option to edit what has already been written and no notification to the person who has posted to let them know that the context of their message may change.

I know these boards are moderated, but I can't see any evidence that this is something that is taken into consideration. With plenty of Jimmy Savile related posts lately, this seems an abstract risk, but a risk none-the-less.
