Do you think you can go back once you've made a mental decision to quit something?

theguywithnousername [Edit] [Delete] 18:12, 28 October '12

You know how when a relationship or a job or whatever isn't going well you often ride it out for a while and see what happens. So you know it's not that ideal but you haven't yet decided whether you're going to commit to keep going or to quit and walk away.

Once you commit in your head to making a decision on it, do you find you can go back if new circumstances come to light (such as you get a massive payrise or the person in the relationship does something really awesome) or do you think fro the point you've committed in your head, it's ultimately just a case of postponing the inevitable and you will ultimately end up walking away?
