apparently the reason you have a circular hole in the ringpull of a can is so you can put a straw through it. if you just put it in normally it'll bob out, but, turn the ringpull around so the hole is over the drink hole, put straw through it, bam! Straw sticks in place.

This would be a great idea except that only deviants drink from cans through straws.
