a question...

do you have any kind of emergency bag, stash, kit, etc, either in your locker/desk at work, or in the boot of your car if you're a grown-up?

i used to have a basic emergency kit in my locker at work, it comprised of a spare pair of socks and shoes (cheap plimsols) just in case it rained on the way to work, spare gruds (not so much in case of soiling ones self, more it's just nice to stick a fresh pair on at lunchtime if you've had a non-stop day sometimes, but y'never know), a cheap waterproof jacket, half a loo roll, etc, etc.

i've never really kept an emergency bag in the boots of the many, many high-powered motor vehicles i've owned, but it's something i'm surprised more people don't do. Obviously you might need car-related emergency stuff, but maybe an emergency sleeping bag as well, some non-perishable snacks in case you break down in the middle of nowhere, perhaps a complete change of clothes in case the Mrs has a mental and kicks you out, etc. anyone?

in hindsight, most people probably don't bother.

^ great thread.
