Weekend Football Thread - The Ball That Got Away

Jordan_229_2 [Edit] [Delete] 11:47, 21 September '12

Liverpool, Newcastle and Tottenham all do roughly as expected in the Wafer Europa Cup. Liverpool's game was fun. I watched it at walkabout with my Liverpool supporting mate Coombesy. Apparently Suso is very highly rated, but I'm sure Pacheco was four years ago. Suso did look very good at times however, as did Shelvey when he came on. Watched a bit of the Tottenham game at the gym and then at home - harshly had a couple goals disallowed but i think 0-0 was about fair.

This weekend:
Liverpool host United in a game in which the press seem desperate for something to 'kick off'. Hopefully it won't. I can see Liverpool winning, probably with Borini taking Kuyt's place and scoring a couple.

Man City are at home to Arsenal. I think this could be Man City's first league home defeat in about 23 years.

Elsewhere, Swansea vs Everton is on the tele and Chelsea host Stoke.

Pick of the lower leagues is people's champs Crewe hosting Leyton Orient.

Heskey's gone to Australia.

It's nearly 11! wo.
