Thursday Gaming Thread

vamos [Edit] [Delete] 10:59, 13 September '12

Wii U gets a retail price for Japan of £209 for the White 8gb version and £251 for the Black 32gb version. They come with a gamepad and all the cables you need. An extra gamepad is £100ish but there is a European announcement later so these values will likely change.

Seems about right to me cost wise. Bit more excited about it too after reading Games mag this month. ZombiU sounds genuinely great, Pikmin 3 utterly charming, the new Wario title bonkers and Rayman better than ever. I fear that some of the titles which thrive on multiplayer in the same room may be wasted on me but I still feel that this SHOULD be the direction multiplayer takes in the future.

In the same issue, the discussion about Sonys in roads into cloud gaming was interesting and the Resident Evil 6 preview is heartbreaking. 1 outstanding Leon campaign apparently which is the series at it's best and 2 longer, shocking B-movie Uncharted rip offs. Shame.

Well done to Broken Sword for raising the funds to make a new title. And diabetic_lucifer for his success!

Not played anything myself. Nearly completed Skyward Sword but, truthfully, finding it pretty tedious. You?
