Went to see this at the weekend and I have to say, I thought it was bloody brilliant.

Definitely gets the feel of the comics right, I loved their decrepit vision of Mega City One. Urban is brilliant as Dredd. I really enjoyed how Dredd is clearly a fascist but they don't draw attention to it, they let it simmer away underneath making you feel uncomfortable at the things the *hero* is doing.

I was worried about all the scenes with the Slo Mo drug, but they are magnificent - wonderfully surreal asides that also allowed some ultra violence. It's a brutal and uncompromising vision that finally does Judge Dredd justice *arf arf*
